2012 Backyard 4

Now look at my backyard!

We’ve moved a few things around this year.

To begin with the pool was too close to the pecan trees and it was a constant battle to keep leaves and pecans out of it. And it wasn’t as level as it needed to be so we took our time and prepared a new spot for it away from the trees and as level as we could possibly get it. It really opened up the yard and I like it much better in its new home.

And where the pool was sitting is now our campfire spot. I am very pleased with how it all turned out.

You should drop in some time and sit around the fire and roast a marshmallow with us!

Happy Wednesday!

  1. A nice cool pool to enjoy with the kids with the hot summer coming soon! A pool being perfectly level is so important since water will be perfectly level, Visited in laws that put one in on slightly slanted ground, had to redo and it is a big job. Do you use one of the bubble wrap like pool covers? They are great for extending the swim season into early spring and late fall to keep the pool warmer and keeps debris out.

  2. I would love to drop in sometime…it would be a very long trip, though! 😉 Stop on over and visit me at my blog. 🙂

  3. Would love to stop by and visit. We used to have an apricot tree next to our pool…not sure WHAT the previous owners were thinking, but the tree is now gone…slimy apricots among the rafts…gross!
