2011 Garden Report 8

This is the first time I’ve ever grown okra.

I really like the looks of the foilage.

The leaves are big and beautiful with red accents.

And the blooms remind me of the blooms on a Rose of Sharon bush.

Even if I never eat the okra I will continue to grow these just because of the beauty of the plant.

It’s one of the prettiest in the garden.

What’s your favorite garden plant?

Happy Monday!

TFP 🙂

  1. I have never seen an okra plant before. You’re right, they do look like Rose of Sharon. Except that ever since reading The Grapes of Wrath, I have to call it “Rosasharn”. 🙂
