2011 Farm Photo 19

It never ceases to amaze me…..

how much of a difference a day of rain can make in the garden.

Some of this corn is taller than I am.

If you’ve been following this blog, then you know that we don’t have much luck with corn growing here on the farm.

We go weeks with no rain and then a storm will blow through and dump 3.5″ of rain on the farm in less than 24 hours. Atleast that’s what happened recently.

Even with regular watering by me, nothing gets my garden growing like Vitamin G fortified rain.

Pollination has taken place and there are little ears of corn all over the corn patch.

Happy Friday, y’all!
