As if I didn’t have an action packed, fly by the seat of my pants, out late, Friday night…..
we were up early on Saturday to enjoy Summer Fest 2009, in historic downtown York, SC.
There were games, food and all manner of handmade crafts for sale. All in all, there were about ten city blocks taped off for the festivities.
But the main reason we were there was for the car show.
Friends of ours had entered their car and invited us to come check out the show.
Here’s their car, it won best in class.
Congratulations, Garfield and Margaret!
Rather than post a bunch of pictures I made collages of my favorites to share with you.
I love these colors!
As you can see there were all types of vehicles entered in this show.
Old…….
and new.
And a hearse or two.
Here are a couple that I thought you’d like to see.
Read what is written on the identification sheet that’s attatched to the radiator.
Since he’s comparing that auto to his woman……I’d rather not see what she looks like. tee hee
And be sure to read the body shop ad on the side of this one.
In case you can’t see it well, it states,
“J&J Body Shop – Worst Shop In Town”.
Well maybe so, but for as old as that vehicle is, and it’s still intact,
I don’t think they’re as bad as they think.
It was a fun show to attend. Lots of vehicular variety.
I’m kinda partial to the muscle cars myself.
And those who know me, know that the Ford Mustang is my favorite.
