I love lemon pie, but I don’t care much for meringue. We always made a lemon pie and put whipped topping on the top.
This recipe has the whipped topping mixed in. It’s delicious.
Hope you like it, too!
Here’s what you need…
Lemon flavored Jello, Cool Whip Whipped Topping, lemon juice, graham cracker pie crust, boiling water and ice.
Specific amounts listed below.
Completely dissolve Jello in boiling water, stirring constantly, takes about 3 minutes.
Add lemon juice and ice cubes and stir until Jello has thickened, about 2-3 minutes..
Remove any unmelted ice cubes and blend in Cool Whip with a wire wisk.
Whip until smooth and mixture will mound.
Like this.
If not mounding, put in fridge until cool enough to mound.
Then add to graham cracker crust and chill.

Yum, I’m sure the cool whip is much better than merenigue!
Well, I’ve never heard of it made this way before. I might have to give it a try. Is this the tart lemon pie? We love the tart lemon.
