Charleston 2008, South Carolina Aquarium

This year we went to the South Carolina Aquarium. Which stands at the Charleston Harbor.

By this time, my Brother and Sister-in-law and nephew had arrived in Charleston to join in on the fun.

On the outside of the building are several sculptures of frogs, turtles and birds.

These frogs are life-sized.

We arrived just in time to attend a dive show. Wouldn’t it be fun to get in that tank and swim with the fish and turtles? That is a person (diver) in the black and yellow, just to give you the scale of this aquarium.

Just inside, proudly stands a bald eagle. Possibly, because he represents the pride of our great nation, the United States of America.

Below are some pictures we took during our visit. Please excuse the one’s that aren’t so clear. The marine life weren’t very cooperative.

Notice the sandfish hiding in the sand.

Getting pictures through glass is not an easy task. But we got a few good ones.

See ya next time. Hope you enjoyed the South Carolina Aquarium.

  1. Chatter loved the frogs!! I loved all the pictures. How very neat they each are.

(sorry I left Chatter’s love for the frogs on the wrong post too-but she did really like them!)

  2. I will put this on my list of places to visit when I go there….eventually! I love frogs, and a bunch of cute ones would be too hard to resist. The whole place looks fun!
