Since I’ve been on the subject of homemade biscuits lately.
I thought I would show you something that is a must in my kitchen when making rolled out biscuits.

It is the paper from a twenty-five pound bag of Hudson Cream Flour.

I use and reuse it.
Just fold it up with the left over flour inside and put it in a storage bag.

Then it fits right down inside the plastic container I keep my flour in.

When I make biscuits all I have to do is get it out, add a little flour and start kneading the bread dough.
Not much in the way of clean up. Just wipe the flour dust off the counter and your done.
This one is several years old, because down here I cannot find a twenty-five pound bag of flour.
well, isn’t that smart! large bag too and so easy to use and save great idea becky!
Neat tip! I’ve seen ladies who kept a thin piece of fabric and used it the same way-then just folded it up until next time.
Doesn’t the flour left on the sack ever mold or turn bad? You must bake a lot. Around here we have a store called (I think) GFS (Gordon Food Service) and they sell supplies that can be used in a restaurant, perhaps if you have one in your area, they might have larger sacks of flour.
I just looked it up, apparently in your area they don’t have any, go here to see the map of the locations they have listed.

Is this a special type of paper or just a regular thick paper bag from the flour?
That is a great idea!
That is a brilliant idea!!!
Neat idea you’ve got there. I always use wax paper to roll my biscuits out on, not being very green am I.
What a clever idea!
